GCC Updates

• Grand Opening — Friday, Oct 3: Our first Coffee Shop at the new Roasting Facility in Historic Dillsboro Township of Sylva, NC — 170 Front Street, Dillsboro.
• Food Lion Distribution: Starting in October, find GCC coffee in all Food Lion stores in far Western North Carolina.
• Missions Impact: In September 2025, GCC made its third quarterly donation to Good Shepherd Guatemala Ministry.
• Church Partnerships: We’re in active discussions with numerous churches to supply coffee for their ministries.

Oct 3 — Erika (20) with chronic kidney & heart failure—praise for her faith; continued strength and witness.

Oct 4 — Youth in a difficult legal situation; and for Marco Yax teaching ~30 rural pastors (Joshua Bible Institute, Uspantán).

Oct 5 — Little Isaak (FAS & seizure disorder)—wise decisions for his future and salvation.

Oct 6 — Roger & Guatemalan construction crew—health, safety, and gospel opportunities.

Oct 7 — Cántico Nuevo BC & Pastor Jorge Poz as they minister in Cantel and serve pastors.

Oct 8 — New Covenant BC (Pastor Marco Yax)—discipling youth and growing future leaders.

Oct 9 — Glendy’s recovery; prayer for a strong Christian adoptive family.

Oct 10 — Yahir turns 12; wise court protection; continued growth in school and guitar. Pray for the Little School team.

Oct 11 — Medical team in Sta. Cruz del Quiché; parenting class (60+ parents) hearing the gospel; pastors training in Nebaj.

Oct 12 — Good Shepherd Clinic staff serving patients in need.

Oct 14 — Day 2 of Sta. Cruz clinic; difficult 2-hour dirt-road travel—safety, health, endurance.

Oct 15 — Attendees at Sta. Cruz clinic to come to know the Lord.

Oct 16 — Final clinic day; Grace Church & missionary/pastor José Caniz, Pedro, Gerson, Cecilia—fruitful follow-up and growth.

Oct 17 — Good Shepherd Ministries board (pres. Mark Powell)—wisdom and unity.

Oct 18 — NC Light the Way board (pres. Victoria Rose Hackworth Aull); missionaries José Caniz, Esvin & Lorena López, Juan Carlos Yax—new mission areas.

Oct 19 — Safe return for Dr. Bowen’s team; arrival of NC Baptists on Mission team (lead: Gary Holland).

Oct 20 — Family of God BC in Uspantán—pastor & leaders (incl. Giovanni, Marvin’s brother).

Oct 21 — Protection over children in all three homes; strength for staff and caregivers.

Oct 22 — FBC Quetzaltenango (Pastor Einer Yax)—healing and encouragement.

Oct 23 — Javier turns 10; wise court decisions; growth as a strong Christian.

Oct 24 — “Families of Love” project mobilizing churches to rescue children in danger.

Oct 25 — Safe return for Gary Holland’s team; arrival of Green Level BC team (lead: Doug Jacobs).

Oct 26 — DIMAYA board (pres. Vicki Grossmann & members)—godly wisdom.

Oct 27 — Good Shepherd Children’s Homes staff—patience, wisdom, love.

Oct 28 — Cleaning staff (Santa, Sandra, María Victoria & family)—praise for their faithful service.

Oct 29 — Judá BC (Pastor Roger Márquez), Marvin’s home church—ongoing outreach.

Oct 30 — Parenting classes (2×/month)—open doors to teach Scripture and share the gospel.
